After staying for a few weeks on the sideline due to injury, Nigeria's table tennis sensation Aruna Quadri has returned to a competitive action, BSNsports.com.ng understands.

The German-based pin-ponger has been in treatment for quite some due to the injury he sustained while taking part in a competition in Lagos Nigeria.

He returned to a competitive action on Thursday in the World Table Tennis series in Budapest, Hungary but it was a day to forget for him.

South Korea's Lim Jonghoon proved too much for him as he lost 3-2 in the keenly contested encounter.

Aruna never showed a sign of match rustiness right from start despite losing the first set 11-5.

He bounced back strongly to win second and third sets 11-9, 11-8 but Jonghoon laughed last with a 11-5, 11-9 to dump out the Nigeria International.
