Nigerian basketball coach Rena Wakama has been inducted into the Wake Forest High School Hall of Fame as her alma mater honoured her for her outstanding achievements and lasting impact in basketball, BSNSports.com.ng reports 

The recognition marks another major milestone in Wakama’s growing career, following her rise as one of Nigeria’s most respected basketball coaches.

The induction ceremony was held during the school’s Class of 2026 Hall of Fame banquet, where Wakama was celebrated for her contributions both on and off the court.

Wakama has continued to gain international recognition after guiding Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D'Tigress, to historic achievements on the global stage.

The latest honour further underlines her influence in basketball and her role as an inspiration to young athletes in Nigeria and across the world.
