Waldorf Knoll Wins Maiden FCT Secondary School Football Tournament

Waldorf Knoll Academy on Saturday defeated HHH Foundation School to emerge champions of inaugural FCT Secondary School Football tournament, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Eight registered schools were divided into Group A and B where Top Two teams in each group picked the semi-final slots.
In Group A we have, Waldorf Knoll Academy, HHH Foundation School, Starfield College, and Glisten International Academy while Group B consists of Aduvie International School, El-Amin International School, Famaks British School and Noble Guide Academy.
After a very busy schedule filled with best of football artistry at the grassroots, Waldorf Knoll, El-Amin, HHH and Aduvie made it to the semi-final for the coveted trophy.
In the first Semifinal, Waldorf Knoll defeated El-Amin 3-2 while Aduvie after a 0-0 regulation time lost on penalties to HHH Foundation.
In the final match, Waldorf Knoll Academy outscored HHH 3-2 to lift the trophy.
Speaking at the event, Special Guest of Honour and former Vice President of Nigeria Football Federation, Shehu Dikko said some young talents who have been identified would be recommended to some good football academy and the Nigeria Football Federation to nurture to stardom.
Adewale Adeniyi, the Head Coach of Waldorf Knoll won the Coach of The Competition, Yazid Yusuf, goaltender of HHH emerged the best goalkeeper, Hussein Yahaya was handed the Most Valuable Player award while Moses picked the Highest Goal Scorer award.
