Waldrum Disappointed With Super Falcons World Ranking

Nigeria's Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum has expressed his disappointment with the latest ranking of the team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The World Soccer ruling body a few days ago released the latest rankings and the Falcons were ranked 32nd in the World.

The American gaffer while speaking to the PUNCH Correspondent said the Falcons are supposed to be at least in the top 20 going by their performance at the just-concluded FIFA World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

“We should be much higher after getting out of the group of death, not losing any game in 90 minutes, drawing against the defending Olympic Gold medalist (ranked 7), defeating the host nation (ranked 10), drawing against Ireland (ranked 21), and draw against European Champions England (ranked 3). We should at least be in the top 20,” he said.

Despite being ranked 32nd in the World, Falcons maintained its position as the top-ranked team in Africa.
