We Can Pull Through Heartland Woes, Says Boboye

The new Technical Adviser of Heartland FC, Kennedy Boboye has expressed optimism that they can pull through the woes that have bedeviled the team in the Nigeria Premier Football League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Speaking with the club's media, Boboye said he is aware of the enormity of the task before him adding that the team will witness a new mentality.

He said: "I am ready for the task. I had different thoughts when I was contacted initially because of the club's position on the league table but with what I have seen on the ground I am certain we can pull through.

"We need everyone to get to work. You are going to be seeing a new mentality in the team. The players have assured me there would be changes and I am excited to be here."

Boboye, who has signed a one-year contract with the Naze Millionaires has come to the Owerri side with an impeccable record of winning the league title twice with Plateau United (2017) and Akwa United (2021).

The former Remo Stars gaffer's first target will be to ensure Heartland FC starts winning their league games from the weekend's blockbuster Oriental derby tie with Enyimba in Owerri.
