Following their shocking loss to the Amavubi of Rwanda, the interim coach of the Nigeria's Super Eagles Austin Eguavoen has admitted that they were not good enough, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite scoring first, the Nigerian side allowed the Rwandans to score two quick goals to steal the game.

The technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation expressed his sadness about the outcome of the game.

"Below standard, and I feel very sad,” Eguavoen said after the game.

“This result was not what we planned for. We scored and were pushing for a second goal, but, quite against the run of play, we conceded. I tried to change the formation, but it didn’t work.”
