Port Harcourt is set to make history as it hosts the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six Finals for the first time, with six of the country's top women's football clubs set to battle for the national title, BSBSports.com.ng reports.

The 2026 edition of the season-ending championship will take place in the Rivers State capital from June 5 to June 14, bringing together the best teams from the regular season in a winner-takes-all competition that will determine the champions of Nigerian women's football.

Defending champions and perennial contenders will be joined by ambitious challengers in what promises to be one of the most competitive Super Six tournaments in recent years.

The six clubs that secured qualification for the finals are:

- Bayelsa Queens

- Rivers Angels

- Edo Queens

- FC Robo Queens

- Nasarawa Amazons

- Abia Angels

The Super Six format will see all six teams compete in a round-robin series, with the club accumulating the highest number of points at the end of the tournament crowned champions.
