Why Cryvena Zvezda Signed Super Eagles Striker -Sporting Director

The Sporting Director of Serbia's Premier League side Cryvena Zvezda Mitar Mrkela has made it clear that they signed Nigeria's Super Eagles forward Peter Olayinka because they believe he can be a good addition to their team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After signing a pre-contract agreement during the January transfer window, the official deal was finally signed and sealed on Monday.

Mrkela said they watched him closely while he was with the Czech side Slavia Prague and they are convinced with his performance.

“Olayinka comes from Slavia Prague as a free agent. He was the best football player there, and he is also a member of the Nigerian national team.

"He has a lot of experience playing in European competitions and last season he scored four goals in the Conference League and 11 goals in the championship.

“I believe that he will be a great reinforcement for Zvezda, he has the characteristics that we were looking for in a player for his position and I am sure that our team will gain a new physiognomy and strength with him,” he stated.
