Why Ekiti Queens Failed To Honour President Federation Cup Game - State Govt

The Technical Advisor to the Ekiti Governor on Sports Development, Dr. Olusola Osetoba has clarified why Ekiti Queens failed to honour their round of 32 fixture against Rivers Angels, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Rivers Angel walked over Ekiti Queens FC at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Thursday evening. 

Dr Osetoba revealed that the club was undergoing restructuring immediately after the conclusion of the Nigeria Women's Football League, NWFL Premiership season.

"We have intensified efforts to restructure the team and aimed to better prepare them for the upcoming season," she said.

"We had a lot of challenges during the just concluded season. upon my resumption into office about a week ago, met a lot of issues that needed to be properly addressed."

She extended apologies to all football stakeholders and supporters of Ekiti Queens FC, promising proper restructuring and improvements across other sports to elevate Ekiti State.
