Despite serious threats and talks on Wednesday, the president of the Federation of Cameroon Football ( FECAFOOT) Samuel Eto'o has apologized and backed down, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Barcelona striker had a confrontational issue with newly appointed coach Marc Brys and eventually sacked the Belgian and appointed an interim manager.

But everything changed again on Thursday evening and the reason for his apology was revealed.

Everything accelerated this Thursday. After his interim staff was dismantled on Wednesday evening by the Minister of Sports, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, the former striker was let go by his now ex-employees.

First, it was the deputy David Pagou, and the physical trainer, Tinkeu Nguimgou Narcisse, both civil servants assigned to the south-eastern region of Cameroon, who resigned.

Moment later, interim coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpilé, who is retired, and who would not have run the risk of seeing his pension reduced to nothing.

On the other hand, the heavily armed police deployed around Fécafoot posed an additional threat to the main parties involved.

According to the update, the government threatened and reminded Eto'o that his name is circulating in many cases.
