Why I Joined Rivers United – Finidi George

Former Super Eagles handler, Finidi George has revealed why he joined Rivers United as its Head Coach, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

George was on Wednesday unveiled as Head Coach of former Nigeria Premier Football League champions secretariat in Port Harcourt.

The former Ajax winger is back in the dugout a few weeks after he resigned from his post as Super Eagles head coach.

The Pride of Rivers parted ways with long-serving tactician Stanley Eguma towards the end of last season due to their poor campaign.

According to George; "I am honoured to have this opportunity, and I thank the Sports Commissioner, the General Manager, and the supporters for their confidence in me. I am committed to working hard and making the team win."

George previously worked in the NPFL with nine-time champions Enyimba where he won the NPFL in the 2022/23 season.
