Newly acquired Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Afeez Aremu has revealed the reason he dumped St. Pauli for FC Kaiserslautern, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

German second division side announced the arrival of the Nigerian International on Wednesday after he spent 3 years with St. Pauli.

Former Akwa United star said he decided to join FCK because he believes it's time to move on in his career.

“It was important for me to take the next development step in my career. 1. FC Kaiserslautern, one of the most traditional clubs, is a top address for this. 

"The talks with those responsible were very good, I immediately felt at home here and I hope that I can get some playing time so that I can make the season a success together with the team," he said.
