Why Lookman Is An Option For Liverpool -Footmercato

According to the Italian sports news outlet Footmercato, Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman is a potential summer transfer target for Liverpool, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah both increasingly likely to depart from Liverpool, there is a pressing need for new attacking reinforcements.

Liverpool has been linked with a move for Newcastle’s Alexander Isak; however, they risk being priced out of a deal, as his current club reportedly values him at around €200 million.

Additionally, Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt has been mentioned in recent reports, but he is expected to come at a high cost, with a valuation of approximately €80 million.

Footmercato (via Calciomercato.com) indicates that Lookman is also a viable option for Liverpool's attack this summer and could be available for a more reasonable fee of around €60 million from Atalanta.

Lookman, who was recently named the African Player of the Year, is currently tied for third in Serie A scoring with 13 goals and five assists from 22 league appearances.

In the Champions League, he has contributed seven goal involvements in seven matches, including five goals and two assists.
