Why Ndah Left Stellenbosch – Agent Opens Up

The agent of Super Eagles defender Olisa Ndah, Mike Makaab, has shed light on the reasons behind the player's departure from South African club Stellenbosch FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ndah, who joined Stellenbosch in January after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, left the club just six months later in a move that surprised many supporters and stakeholders.

Speaking to FARPost, Makaab expressed gratitude to the club for giving the former Akwa United defender an opportunity to revive his career after a difficult period.

“We are incredibly grateful to Stellenbosch and Gavin Hunt for giving us the opportunity. Don’t forget that Olisa hadn’t played for a long period of time, and they put their trust in him,” Makaab said.

The agent suggested that the decision was primarily based on footballing considerations, particularly regarding the defender's suitability to the tactical approach of head coach Gavin Hunt.

“I just think, and this is just my opinion, maybe the type of central defender that Olisa is may not have suited the type of football that Gavin wants to play, and 

we have to respect that. So I think it was just a football decision and we have to respect that,” he added.

Ndah, who previously starred for Akwa United before moving abroad, is now expected to seek a new club as he continues his quest to secure regular playing time and remain in contention for future Super Eagles assignments.
