Why We Triggered Aina Contract Extension - Nottingham Forest Chief

The Chief Football Officer of the English Premier League club Nottingham Forest, Ross Simon, has revealed reason they decided to trigger the contract extension of Ola Aina, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former European champions on Tuesday triggered the contract extension of the Nigeria's Super Eagles defender by year.

Aina joined the Forest last summer after his contract expiration with the Italian side Torino.

Simon said is contribution to the team was immense and they can't afford to let him leave 

" Since Ola joined the club last summer he has impressed all of us with his performances both on the pitch and also with the positive personality that he brings to the group every day. 

“We are delighted that he will move forward with us", he said 

Aina made 22 appearances and scored once for the club in the just concluded season.
