The Chairman Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Appeals Committee, Barrister Eddy Mark has revealed why they upheld some decisions of the Disciplinary Committee, BSNsports.com.ng understands.

The Disciplinary Committee of the NFF deducted 3 points from Kano Pillars following their unruly behaviour of their fans and club chairman in the NPFL game against Dakkada FC.

The chairman said the committee wasn't under any pressure to make the right decisions and debunked the insinuations of a big team avoiding sanctions.

"The rules and laws of the game are clear, you can say because the name of a club maybe is a lesser club.

"What has happened is something we can't change, except you want to toil, the Disciplinary Committee has about 10 findings and the most important thing about it was the issue of attack on the AR1 by the Chairman of Kano Pillars, the question is, did the attack destroyed the game?

"You can't change it, the attack was obvious, he attacked the man and the man fell and that was a disruption of the game.

"This is what anybody who has sanity will know that this is violent conduct and if there is a penalty for it, you have to take it and there is no way you can bend it and if you try to bend it that means you don't want football to grow.

"When we looked at it, it wasn't a difficult thing at all, people thought these people are a big club but there is nothing like a big club as far as the Appeals Committee is concerned because the rules are for everybody, so we did what we were supposed to do.

"There wasn't any pressure because there can't be any pressure on me. I'm 33 years at the bar and I have been doing it since 2010.

"I'm a former FA Chairman and I have also managed an academy, no pressure will make me not to do the right thing.

"And all other members are also accomplished persons, so I can't say they didn't do their best, so the matter is not about pressure but about doing the right thing," he said.

The head coach of Atlas Lionesses of Morocco Pedros has made clear their intention in the semi-final game against Nigeria, BSNsports.com.ng understands.

The Lionesses secured their place in the semi-final of the competition after they defeated Botswana 2-1 in the quarter-final.

Pedros said that their focus is to defeat Nigeria and win the title and he further said there are no injury worries in the team.

“We are focusing on winning, we are in the semi-final and we will see what will happen in the game against Nigeria.

"We have positive ideas and we will focus until we reach the final.

 â€œWe don’t have any injuries and all our players are ready. Tomorrow’s game will be different and it’s up to us to stand up against our opponent," he said.

Morocco alongside Banyana Banyana of South Africa are the only team that has won all their games in the tournament.

WAFCON 2022: Super Falcons Will Not Take Morocco Softly - Super Falcons Coach

Ahead of the semi-final game slated for Monday, head coach of the Nigeria's Super Falcons Randy Waldrum has said his Super Falcons will not take the game lightly, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side will face host Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in the semi-final of the ongoing 2022 African Women Cup of Nations.

The defending champion defeated rivals Cameroon in the quarter-final to reach the semi-final of the competition for a record 12th time.

During a press conference on Sunday afternoon, Waldrum said he has been following the Moroccan since September last year and said he knew how much they've improved. He further said that the Super Falcons are ready for the game.

“I saw Morocco last year in September and I am impressed with the kind of football they play. Their football is outstanding and how they have been able to develop the game.

"We have a big challenge and we won’t take the game lightly. We have respect for them," he said.

Barely 24 hours to the semi-final clash against WAFCON 2022 host, head of the Technical Department of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Austin Eguavoen has arrived in Morocco, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Super Falcons of Nigeria on Thursday defeated the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon by a lone goal to reach the semi-final.

Morocco's Atlas Lionesses on their part defeated the Mares of Botswana 2-1 in the quarter-final to set up a clash against the defending champions.

The former Super Eagles coach arrived in Morocco on Sunday afternoon ahead of the game slated for Monday in Rabat.

Eguavoen is in Morocco to offer every assistance to the team as they continue their chase for a 10th WAFCON title.

International Women Competitions Excites Oparanozie

Nigeria's Super Falcons forward Desire Oparanozie has expressed her happiness following the international women's competitions across the world, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

The women's game has taken the centre stage this summer with Africa, Europe, Asia, Oceanic, South and North American all hosting at the same time.

China based striker was supposed to be with the Super Falcons in Morocco but missed the tournament due to border restrictions imposed by the Chinese government.

Oparanozie hailed the federations and hopes it will get better.
