Our Reporter

Wikki Tourists FC Prince John who suffered a neurogenic shock as a result of traumatic hit on his head by a Shooting Stars defender during Sunday's MatchDay 34 fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League is in stable condition, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The shock happened on the bench after he was substituted from the match and was immediately rushed to the stadium medical facility for medical attention and rehydration.

John was later taken to a Specialists Hospital in Bauchi for CT Scan in company of the Technical Adviser, Team Doctor and Chairman of Club.

It was cherry news for John and the entire Wikki Tourists team few hours later as the result from the CT scan was negative and the player was later discharged after his full recovery.

Recall Shooting Stars snatched a point in the game against Wikki Tourists no thanks to Dare Dede heroic performance in goal.

Needing a positive result to brighten their chances of surviving the drop, the Oluyole Warriors fought bravely at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.

Opeoluwa Olufemi in the second half opened scoring as he nodded into the net from a well directed free kick taken by Ebuka Anaekwe.

As it near full time, Wikki Tourists' spirited efforts to level up were thwarted by Dede and his defenders and when it appeared the visitors will carry the day, a penalty was awarded to the hosts in the dying minute as Gali Falke was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box.

Substitute, Idris Muhammed Guda, made no mistake from the spot to give his side a face saving leveller, thus ending the tie at 1-1 as both sides could not find the winning goal within the five added minutes.
