Winning NPFL Not Rangers Target, Says Ilechukwu

Fidelis Ilechukwu of Rangers International has reiterated that winning the 2023/2024 NPFL title is not the target of his side, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Ilechukwu, whose side was knocked out by Kano Pillars in the President Federation Cup Round of 64 said other teams like Enyimba FC and Remo Stars have the advantage. 

After the exit from the President Federation Cup, Ilechukwu said that the team has shifted attention to the remaining matches of the NPFL season.

He said: "I have said this on different platforms, and maybe I need to say this again. Winning the league is not the target for this season. Enyimba, Remo Stars and others have an advantage.

"That is football for you. It happens sometimes. It is painful. A first-time exit in the very first round of the competition for us. We are not happy but there is nothing we can do. I wish Kano Pillars the best of luck. We now have to focus on the league as we appeal to our fans for today's disappointing performance."
