Wolfsburg Sporting Director Regrets Selling Osimhen

The Sporting Director of the German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg Jorg Schmadtke has expressed his regret in the selling of Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Osimhen joined the German side after leading Nigeria's Golden Eaglet to the World Cup but was loaned out in 2018 to the Belgian side Sporting Charleroi where he scored 20 goals in 36 matches.
He joined French Ligue side LOSC Lille and scored 18 goals in 36 games to catch the attention of the top European teams.
“It was not a good decision, in hindsight. When I arrived, he was limping and going around in circles.
"I was told that the forwards we had weren't good enough. The most important lesson is that you have to be patient with certain transfers,†he told Kicker.
Despite sustaining in the early part of the season, Osimhen led the Italian Serie A side Napoli to the title after 36 years of wait and is still the top scorer in the league.
