Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira has provided an update on the fitness of Nigerian forward Tolulope Arokodare following the club’s narrow 4-3 defeat to Chelsea in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Arokodare was among the scorers in the thrilling encounter, finding the back of the net in the 48th minute.

Despite his contribution, Wolves were unable to hold on as Chelsea edged the seven-goal contest.

Speaking after the game, Pereira praised the 23-year-old striker’s progress and growing impact within the squad. “It’s normal because now he has more training with us. His fitness is better now than before, he understands what we need from him, and he is more connected with his teammates. He’s ready to help us,” Pereira told the club’s official website.

Arokodare joined Wolves from Belgian side KRC Genk in September on a four-year deal with an option for an additional year. He netted his first goal for the club in their 2-0 win over Everton in the third round of the EFL Cup.
