Women Champions League: CAF Finally Announce Prize Money

After lengthy deliberations, the Confederation of African Football( CAF) has finally announced the prize money for the participating teams in the 2022 Women's Champions League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The monetary reward for the competition has generated a lot of issues as the participating teams in the maiden edition got nothing for taking part and that has called for many questions among football stakeholders across the continent.

The football body on Wednesday afternoon announced that the winner for the 2022 edition will get $400,000 and the first runners-up will earn $250,000.

Semi-finalists will get $200,000 and this team in the group-stage teams will take $150,000 while 4th teams will earn $100,000.

The total prize money for the competition in Marrakech, Morocco is USD$1.550,000.

The competition will kick off on the 30th of October and the final is fixed for the 13th of November, 2022.
