Women WAFU B: Four Falconets Make Team Of The Tournament

The organiser of the 2023 Women's WAFU B Championship in Kumasi, Ghana has released the Team of the Tournament and 4 players from Nigeria's Falconets made it, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian team suffered a 3-1 defeat in the final via a penalty shootout to Ghana's Black Princess.

The team released consisted of 4 players from Nigeria, 6 players from Ghana and 1 player from Burkina Faso.

Midfielder Esther Onyenezide led Sebastian Flourish, Chinyere Kalu and the tournament's top scorer Opeyemi Ajakaiye into the team.

Falconets scored 20 goals and conceded once throughout the tournament.
