Women’s AfroBasket: D'Tigress Fight Back To Beat Mozambique, Zoom Into Quarterfinals

Nigeria's D'Tigress staged an incredible comeback to beat Mozambique 60-55 in the Women’s AfroBasket in Côte d'Ivoire, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After a tough first half, D'Tigress stayed on course to win Mozambique and book a place in the Quarterfinals.

The Mozambique side came out strong and stayed in control for most of the game but Nigeria's resilience showed off when it mattered most.

Ezinne Kalu stepped up big with 16 points, despite a few missed free throws (8/13 from the line) while Promise Amukamara dropped 13 points, hitting 3 of her 7 shots from beyond the arc.

Murjanatu Musa gave a solid minutes in the paint, finishing with 12 points on 6-of-11 shooting.
