Women’s Afrobasket: D’Tigress Set to Host Pre-Tournament Event In Abuja

As part of preparations for the 2025 Women’s Afrobasket Championship, Nigeria’s national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, has finalized plans to host a preparatory tournament in Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Led by head coach Rene Wakama, the reigning champions are focused on defending the title they secured at the previous edition of the competition.

The newly arranged warm-up tournament is aimed at fine-tuning the team ahead of the main event.

It is scheduled to take place from July 18 to 20 in the Nigerian capital.

While no participating teams have been officially confirmed yet, the list of invited teams is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
