Women’s Basketball League: NBBF To Sanction Defaulting Teams

The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) is set to release an ofcial statement regarding possible sanctions, including relegation, for teams that failed to honour their fixtures in the ongoing Atlantic Conference of the Women’s Basketball League in Benin City, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Teams at risk include Sunshine Angels, Delta Force, and IGP Queens, all of whom missed scheduled matches.

Although Sunshine Angels and Delta Force had earlier requested postponements which were granted they still failed to turn up for their games.

According to league rules, any team that forfeits two consecutive games faces disciplinary action. 

The NBBF is expected to announce its decision soon.
