Women's Champions League: "No Cash Reward For The Participating Teams" - CAF Declares

The Orgainisers of the CAF Women's Champions League has declared that there wont be any cash reward for all the participating teams in this year's competition, BSNSports.com.ng understand.

The competition which was initially proposed by the board of the former President of CAF, Ahmad Ahmad commenced last year in Morocco with Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies emerged the winners.

The second edition is set to kick off in few weeks in Morocco but the update coming from CAF may likely dampen the morale of the participating teams.

The update indicated that all the participating teams have been contacted and that no payment is attached to the competition this year.

No cash rewards for all the participating teams neither the appearance fee nor the winners prize of the tournament would be given 

Eight teams have qualified from the region and are ready to storm Morocco for the competition.

The winners of the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League will automatically qualify for the 2023 CAF Women's Champions League.

AS FAR Morocco, Mamelodi Sundown Ladies of South Africa, Green Buffalos of Zambia, Wadi Degla of Egypt, Determine FC Girls of Liberia, Simba FC of Tanzania, TP Mazembe and Bayelsa Queens are the eight teams that will slug it out in this year's competition.
