World Cup: Nigeria Faces England January 25

Nigeria's Women U19 Cricket team, Wednesday qualified for the Super Six of the
the ongoing International Cricket Council, ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup in Kuching, Malaysia, despite losing to their South African counterparts in the final game of Group C
Nigeria's Junior FemaleYellow Greens surrendered to the South Africans who won the final group game by 41 runs to lead the group.
The Nigeria's Junior FemaleYellow Greens won the toss and elected to BOWL first. The match had Edo born Lucky Piety, captain of team Nigeria picking the first wicket for the Nigerian girls before a down pour.
In the first innings, South Africa scored 49 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 8 overs while team Nigeria in the Second innings had 24 runs, 8 wickets with 8 over,bringing the game to an end with 41 runs in favour of South Africa.
The loss to South Africa,then placed the Nigeria's Junior FemaleYellow Greens in the 2nd position in the group and qualified for the round of super 6. They will now face England on Saturday, January 25, and Ireland on the 29th of January, 2025.
Recall that the Nigeria's Junior Female Yellow Greens, as the Nigerian U-19 team is fondly called, stunned the cricketing world with remarkable victory on Monday, after beating one of the tournament’s favourites New Zealand
