World Cup 2026: Asamoah Gyan Appointed Ghana National Teams Ambassador

Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has been appointed as Ambassador for Ghana’s National Teams and Colts Football ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The appointment was confirmed as part of efforts to strengthen support for the various national teams, including the Black Stars, while also boosting fan engagement across the country.

Gyan, who remains one of Ghana’s most celebrated football figures, will also play a key role in the development of grassroots football and youth talent through the Colts system.

The former striker is expected to use his experience and influence to inspire young players and rally support for Ghana’s preparations toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
