World Cup 2026: Ghana Players To Receive $100,000 Appearance Fee

Ghana's Sports Minister, , has confirmed that each player selected for the Black Stars squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will receive an appearance fee of $100,000, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the minister, the amount remains unchanged from the figure paid to players who represented Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The appearance fee will be paid to every player named in the final squad for the tournament, regardless of the team's performance, serving as a participation bonus for representing the nation on football's biggest stage.

The announcement comes as Ghana continues its preparations and qualification campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with expectations high that the Black Stars will secure a place at the global showpiece.

The confirmation of the bonus package is expected to provide additional motivation for players competing for places in the national team squad ahead of the tournament.
