The United States Embassy in Dakar has reportedly denied entry visas to two additional officials of the Senegal Football Federation ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup preparations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The latest development comes barely 24 hours after six officials of the federation, including one of its vice presidents, were refused entry visas by the American authorities on Wednesday.

The fresh visa denials have raised concerns within Senegal’s football administration, with fears growing over possible complications involving travel arrangements and official engagements linked to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

While the exact reasons for the visa refusals have not been officially disclosed by the embassy, reports in Senegal suggest the issue has generated tension among football stakeholders in the country.

Officials of the federation are yet to make a formal statement regarding the latest setback, but sources close to the body insist efforts are ongoing to resolve the situation through diplomatic channels.

Senegal are among the African countries expected to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup after maintaining a strong campaign in the qualification series.
