Cameroon’s preparations for the crucial 2026 World Cup playoffs have been thrown into turmoil following reports that national team winger Moumi Ngamaleu has become entangled in an adultery scandal in Russia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to multiple reports, Ngamaleu’s partner allegedly caught him in a compromising situation and immediately called the police.

What shocked fans even more was that the Dynamo Moscow star was reportedly wearing Cameroon national team shorts during the incident.

The confrontation reportedly escalated into a domestic dispute when his partner confronted him over alleged infidelity.

A video clip circulating online shows law enforcement arriving at the scene, with Ngamaleu heard pleading,

“Please don’t touch me.” Private chats between the player and the woman involved have also surfaced online, intensifying public scrutiny just days before he is expected to join the Indomitable Lions camp in Rabat, Morocco, for their CAF World Cup Qualifier playoffs.

As of press time, neither Ngamaleu nor his representatives have issued an official statement regarding the allegations.

The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has yet to comment on the situation, which threatens to unsettle the team’s focus ahead of Thursday’s vital encounter.
