The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will face a tough challenge in their upcoming World Cup playoff match against DR Congo, as two of their key players, Eric Choupo-Moting and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, have been ruled out due to injuries, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Choupo-Moting, the veteran striker and one of Cameroon's most influential attacking players, suffered a knee sprain during training.

Meanwhile, midfielder Zambo Anguissa, who has been a standout performer in recent months, pulled a muscle and was forced to leave the training session prematurely.

The extent of Zambo Anguissa's injury is still unclear, with further examinations expected to confirm the length of his absence.

However, it has already been confirmed that both players will miss Thursday’s crucial playoff match against DR Congo.

Their absence is a significant blow for Cameroon as they look to secure a spot in the next round of the World Cup qualifiers.

The Indomitable Lions will now need to regroup and find replacements for the star duo as they prepare for what promises to be a tough encounter against their Central African rivals.
