Ahead of their crucial clash against Nigeria, Panthers of Gabon head coach Thierry Mouyouma has called on his players and supporters to stay united and focused as they aim to keep their World Cup dream alive, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Gabon will lock horns with the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Thursday in Morocco in the semi-final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African playoffs.

Mouyouma, who has guided the Panthers to an impressive run in the qualifiers, said the team remains determined to make history.

“As I said recently, we have a dream to go to the World Cup. And that dream still exists,” Mouyouma declared.

“We will do everything in our power to achieve it.”

The coach emphasized the need for belief and hard work from everyone associated with the team.

“Because the most important thing is not just to dream big, but to give ourselves the means to make it happen,” he added.

“So let’s stay focused this Thursday, November 13, during the Gabon vs Nigeria match.”

Mouyouma further urged Gabonese fans to continue showing their support, describing their passion as a driving force for the team.

“To you, dear Gabonese people your support is our fuel. Let’s keep believing,” he concluded.

A victory over Nigeria will see Gabon face the winner of the DR Congo vs Cameroon fixture for a spot in the FIFA intercontinental playoff, the final step toward qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in North America.
