Sampson Adedeji
The match officials appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Play-Offs have arrived in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of this week’s crucial fixtures, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to reports, the referees and assistant referees departed from Cairo earlier today to begin their preparatory camp in the Moroccan capital.
The camp will serve as a final stage of readiness before the highly anticipated playoff matches kick off.
Four African nations, Nigeria, Gabon, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, will battle for a single intercontinental playoff slot allocated to the continent.
CAF has emphasized the importance of fair play and top officiating standards as the teams aim to secure a spot in the global football showpiece scheduled for 2026 in North America.
