President of the South Africa Football Association (SAFA), Danny Jordan, has expressed strong confidence in the ability of Nigeria’s Super Eagles to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Super Eagles are set to face DR Congo in the final round of the playoffs in Rabat on Sunday.

Speaking ahead of the decisive encounter, Jordan noted that Nigeria possesses the quality and experience required to triumph.

According to him, the calibre of players in the Nigerian squad puts them in a good position to clinch victory and secure their place at the Mundial.

“Nigeria is a big team and they have their players among the best in the world,” Jordan said.

He further added that the Super Eagles stand a strong chance of advancing if they play to their full potential.

“If they can play up to their ability, I’m sure they will qualify.” Jordan also conveyed the support of the South African people to Nigeria ahead of the crucial fixture.

“On behalf of South Africa people, we are behind Nigeria,” he concluded.

Nigeria will be aiming to return to the World Cup after missing out on the 2022 edition in Qatar.
