World Cup Qualifier: Ekong Praises Chelle, Commends Osimhen, Tolulope

Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has congratulated head coach Eric Chelle on securing a victory in his debut match in charge, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The match against Rwanda marked Chelle’s first official game since his appointment as Super Eagles coach.

Speaking at the post-match conference, Al-Khalood defender Troost-Ekong praised the coach’s efforts and also commended goalscorer Victor Osimhen and debutant Tolulope Arokodare.

"I want to congratulate the coach on his first win. It wasn’t an easy game, but we worked hard to understand his tactics," Ekong stated.

"Osimhen is a fantastic player, and we have so many great talents in this team. We played well as a unit—Tolu made his debut, and Alhassan adapted to the right-back role."
