World Cup Qualifier: Injury Rocks Benin Camp Again

With a few days to the 2026 World Cup qualifier, injury has continued to rock the camp of Nigeria's Super Eagles opponent Cheetah of Benin, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team under Gernot Rohr resumed camping last weekend in Ivory Coast and they've intensified preparation for their game against Rwanda and Nigeria.

Midfielder Andreas Handtounji was the first player to withdraw from the squad due to injury.

But the update from the again has shown that defender Olivier Verdon has also decided to pull out due to injury.

Verdon was initially expected to join the team on Monday but he decided to excuse himself after the injury failed to heal up.



Benin will host Super Eagles in Ivory Coast in match day 4 of the qualifier .
