 World Cup Qualifier: Nigeria To Announce Final Squad On Monday

With the 2025 T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier fast approaching, anticipation is mounting in the camp of Nigeria’s senior women’s cricket team, the Female Yellow Greens, as head coach Leke Oyede prepares to unveil the final 15-player squad on Monday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team opened camp last month in Benin City, Edo State, with 22 players before Oyede trimmed the list by four ahead of the final phase in Lagos.

Currently in a closed camp in Lagos, the players are putting finishing touches to their preparations for the continental qualifiers scheduled to hold in Namibia from August 28 to September 7.

Nigeria will face stiff competition from Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Rwanda, and Sierra Leone as they fight for a spot at the World Cup.
