World Cup Qualifier: Rwanda Stars Rejoin Mates In Camp After Father’s Burial

Rwandan national team players Yunusu Nshimiyimana and Fitina Omborenga have rejoined the Amavubi camp following their father’s burial, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The duo temporarily left the squad on Tuesday to attend the funeral after their father passed away on Monday.

They returned to camp late Wednesday evening and participated in Thursday morning’s training session. Rwanda is set to face Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Friday at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.

Currently, Rwanda leads Group C in the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers with 7 points, while Nigeria sits in fifth place with 3 points.
