World Cup Qualifier: Salifou Praises Aruna Quadri After Defeat

Following his loss to Nigerian star Aruna Quadri, Benin’s Abdel Kader Salifou has praised his opponent for a solid performance, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In the opening match of the World Cup qualifiers, Quadri secured a commanding 3-1 victory over Salifou.

Reflecting on the game, Salifou admitted he was hopeful of a comeback but acknowledged that Quadri was the better player on the day.

 "I had a chance to level the score—I was up 8-6 in the fourth set—but credit to Aruna for fighting back," Salifou said.

 "I’ll keep giving my best and shift my focus to the next match."
