World Cup Qualifier: South Africa Deserves The Draw Against Nigeria - Broos

The head coach of the Bafana Bafana of South Africa Hugo Broos has said they deserved the result they had against Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Bafana Bafana proved the bookmakers wrong by picking a valuable draw against Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

" The result is correct, a draw, we had our chances and Nigeria has their chances but I have to congratulate my players as you know we had a terrible journey to Nigeria.

" It was a tough game against a good team but in the first half I think we played fantastic football.

We had some chances, we could have scored a 2-0 maybe then the game was played and it was a little bit unlucky from our side that after two minutes in the second half, we received a goal and you know that it will be difficult but again we fought for it from the 46th till the 95th minute and again I think the result is correct.

" Normally, when you see the draw of the group then you know that Nigeria will be your biggest opponent to be first in the group, so when you come here hope to have a minimum of one point.

"So, not to lose that was very important for us today", he said.
