World Cup Qualifier: Super Eagles Face Tough Challenge, Ahmed Musa Admits

Nigeria's Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has acknowledged the team's challenging position ahead of the next round of World Cup qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Super Eagles are set to face Rwanda and Zimbabwe in matchdays 5 and 6 of the qualifiers, with both games being crucial to reviving their fading hopes.

Musa emphasized the significance of the upcoming clash against Rwanda, calling it a potential turning point.

"The most important game is against Rwanda," he stated.

"If we can secure three points from that match, it could change everything for us. But this isn’t just about the Super Eagles—we need the support of every Nigerian."

He admitted the team is in a tough spot but remains optimistic about their chances.

 "We believe in ourselves and our ability to qualify. The Super Eagles cannot afford to miss the 2026 World Cup."

Musa also warned of the consequences of failing to qualify, saying,

"It would be a huge disaster for Nigerian football if our players are not at the World Cup."
