Sampson Adedeji
Sevilla's of Spain attacker Kelechi Iheanacho insists they will turn the situation around in the 2026 World Cup qualifier and qualify Super Eagles for the Mundial, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The 3-time African champions are yet to secure a win in 4 games and need to win the rest of the qualifying matches for them to reach the tournament in 2026.
The performance of the team in the just concluded 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier, especially in the final game against Rwanda, was not impressive, thereby creating doubts in the team supporters ahead of the World Cup qualifier.
"We must go with anger and win all these games. This is World Cup qualifiers and we know how big it is. And now we have how many draws? They are the ones ahead in the World Cup qualifiers and they are down here".
“I can’t wait for it to start so that we just go there and do this thing so everyone will rest and not shake that we won’t go to the World Cup", he told Victor Modo.
Super Eagles next game in the World Cup qualifier will be against the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium.
