World Cup Qualifier: Yellow Greens Open Training Camp In Lagos

Nigeria's senior men’s cricket team, the Yellow Greens, have kicked off their training camp in Lagos ahead of upcoming international assignments, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The team is preparing for the final round of qualifiers for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and the 2025 ILT20 Africa Cup.
The T20 World Cup qualifiers will take place in Zimbabwe from September 28 to October 4, while the World Cup itself is scheduled for India and Sri Lanka between February and March 2026.
Before then, the Yellow Greens will also compete in the ILT20 Africa Cup in Uganda from July 13 to 30.
Head coach and high-performance manager of the Nigeria Cricket Federation, Steve Tikolo, has invited 21 players to camp for the crucial assignments.
Team captain Sylvester Okpe leads the squad, which includes familiar faces such as wicketkeeper Sulaimon Runsewe, Isaac Danladi, Daniel Ajekun, Ridwan Kareem, Peter Aho, Isaac Okpe, Chimelie Udekwe, and Prosper Useni.
Also called up are Selim Salau, Mohammed Taiwo, Vincent Adewoye, Akhere Isesele, Solomon Chilemanya, Elijah Olaleye, Elijah Saturday, Ifeanyi Uboh, David Ankarak, Jimoh Abdulrahman, Beki Mubarak, and Elochukwu Ndubudem.
Nigeria will face Namibia, Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Botswana in the final round of World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe.
