The Zimbabwe Football Federation has announced a change in venue for their upcoming home match against South Africa in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Initially, Zimbabwe had planned to host the Bafana Bafana in South Africa due to stadium issues at home.

However, on Tuesday, the Federation revealed that the match will now be played in Rwanda.

As part of their qualifying campaign, the Warriors will travel to Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire to face Benin Republic on September 1.

They are also scheduled to host Rwanda in South Africa four days later. Despite the logistical challenges, Zimbabwe remains hopeful of securing a spot at the 2026 World Cup, set to be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
