World Wrestling Championship: Three To Compete For Honour In Serbia, As Igali Eyes WWB Post

As the senior World Wrestling Championship is set to start, three wrestlers will fly Nigeria's flag in Belgrade, Serbia, BSNSports.com.ng understands.

Commonwealth Games champion Blessing Oborodudu will lead the duo of Mercy Genesis and Esther Kolawole to the tournament.

Oborodudu will compete in the 68kg, Mercy 50kg while Esther vies for honour in the 62kg category.

The competition will take place from the 10th of September to the 18th while the Nigerians will be on the mat from the 13th to the 16th of September.

Meanwhile, the President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation Daniel Igali is eyeing the United World Wrestling Bureau.

There are up to six spots up for election with four incumbents that are seeking re-election.

Over 140 countries are expected to be in attendance and voting in the election that will take place in Serbia.
