Yellow Green Ready For West African Trophy Tour- Tikolo

Ahead of the West African Trophy Tour, the Head coach of the Yellow Green and high-performance manager of the NCF, Steve Tikolo has reiterated the readiness of the team to win the tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria Cricket Federation is hosting the four-nation with Ghana, Sierra Leone and Rwanda joining the host Nigeria in the tourney.

While speaking to the Punch correspondent, Tikolo believed the competition would prepare the players for the World Cup qualifier that will start in November 

"This is a good opportunity for us to play some international matches. We’ve not had any matches since the last time we played in Rwanda (November 2022). We are excited and looking forward to this tournament.

“Before now, we had several training sessions, because we were preparing for two competitions which didn’t hold, so we have only stepped up our training sessions. 

"The boys have been working hard as we prepare for this tournament. We have to play well and win it", he said.

The competition will take place at the Tafawa Balewa Square Oval, Lagos, from Wednesday, October 4 to 15, 2023.
