Yemi Adaramodu Emerges Chairman Senate House Committee On Sports

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has named Senator Yemi Adaramodu as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Sports, BSN sports.com.ng can report.

The Senate President made the announcement late Monday night shortly before the red chamber adjourned plenary to September 26 to enable members enjoy their annual long vacation.

Checks revealed that the Senator who was announced last month as Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs will also chair the Committee on Youths and Sports.

Yemi Adaramodu is a Nigerian politician and Senator for 10th Senate from Ekiti South Senatorial District on the ticket of All Progressives Congress, APC.

Adaramodu major political career began with his appointment as chief of staff to the governor of Ekiti State. After this, he was elected to the Federal House of Representatives and served as chairman Committee on Youth Development. He contested in the February 25, 2023 Senate election for Ekiti South Senatorial District against the then incumbent Senator and former Senate Minority Leader Abiodum Olujimi of the People's Democratic Party, PDP. Adaramodu polled 63,189 votes to defeat Olujimi who scored 36,191 votes. Adaramodu's victory in the election was made easy due to the crisis in the party of his opponent which made some his opponent's supporters to work for him in the election.
