Yemi Olanrewaju Pens Emotional Message To Enyimba
Precious Oham
Recently dismissed Enyimba FC head coach, Yemi Olanrewaju has penned an emotional message to his former employers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Olanrewaju was relieved of his duties in the ongoing 2024/2025 football season and was replaced by former Rivers United gaffer, Stanley Eguma.
"Wow, I am so happy and, at the same time, sad to have left the club I love so much, and my dream of coaching the amazing club came to pass. I didn’t just coach but achieved immense success.
"Two and half seasons, a league title as an assistant with my big bros Finidi George, led the team to continental last season as head coach and the only coach to have qualified for CAF group stage out of the four Nigerian clubs.
"Two losses so far in the league in 15 games even though we had lots of draws, with fewer goals conceded and four outstanding games. I am super proud of all the experiences God has helped me to gather.
"God gave me the experience that some people clamoured for in 20 years in just 3-4 years. My career journey has been nothing but amazing and surprising.
"I love this turbulence time as the experience will make me a better man and tougher gaffer. Thanks to everyone for your support always; thanks to the Enyimba staff, we worked together for two and half years.
"Thanks to the club itself for letting me fulfil one of my dreams. Time to refuel, spend time with my family, read books and get ready for God’s next plan."
