Bayelsa State is preparing to welcome elite runners, amateur athletes, and fitness enthusiasts from across Nigeria and beyond as the Yenagoa City 10KM International Race is set to take place on April 4, 2026.
The race will begin at Obollo Roundabout and end at Peace Park Square in Yenagoa, where participants and spectators will gather for a post-race concert aimed at celebrating the event in a festive atmosphere.
Organisers say the race is designed to promote healthy living, encourage sports tourism, and strengthen community participation through athletics. The event is expected to attract professional competitors as well as recreational runners seeking to test their endurance while enjoying the spirit of sportsmanship.
Interested participants can register for the race at the Ministry of Sports Complex in Yenagoa or online at the official website.
Race kits will be available for collection between April 1 and April 3 at Peace Park in Yenagoa.
According to the organisers, the race will also serve as an opportunity to showcase Bayelsa State’s hospitality and growing capacity to host international sporting events while bringing together people from diverse backgrounds through sport and wellness.
